Upgrade to Schlage Mobile Access Solutions​

We are excited to introduce Schlage Mobile Access Solutions, the most secure and flexible access control solution available in the industry today.  At the center, is the new Schlage Mobile Access Credential which provides users the convenience and security of using a smart device to unlock openings.

Schlage Mobile Access Credentials are designed to work with the following devices:

  • Schlage Control™ mobile enabled smart locks – released July 2019
  • Schlage MTB mobile enabled multi-technology readers – released June 2020
  • Schlage NDEB mobile enabled wireless cylindrical locks – released June 2020
  • Schlage LEB mobile enabled wireless mortise locks – released June 2020
  • Schlage CTE single door controller with MTB mobile enabled multi-technology readers – released June 2020

Mobile upgrade

Identify if you have Schlage mobile enabled devices at your site

There are three ways to identify if you have mobile enabled hardware that is designed to work with Schlage Mobile Access Credentials:

If your device was purchased after the release dates listed above, then you might have mobile enabled hardware.

Check either the ENGAGE™ App or the Hardware Identity to verify.

We recommend using the ENGAGE™ web app.  Navigate to the Device tab, select a device and look for the “B” in the model number. 

The ENGAGE™ mobile app can also be used.  Navigate to Devices, select a device, press More, press Settings and look for the “B” in the model number.

Model numbers listed as BE467B,  FE410B, LEBMS, LEBMD, LEBMB, NDEB, MTB11, MTB15, MTKB15 are mobile enabled.

Hardware identity

Schlage Control™ - check for a small white dot under the thumbturn on the exterior cover.

Schlage MTB Readers – check the reader cover for the Bluetooth symbol located to the right of the Schlage logo.

Schlage NDEB – check for interior push button on interior escutcheon.

Schlage LEB – check for a white PCB (main circuit board) by removing battery cover.

Upgrade

Upgrade your devices to work with Schlage Mobile Access Credentials

Retrofit kits are available to upgrade existing Schlage Control™, NDE and LE wireless locks, transforming them to be compatible with Schlage Mobile Access Credentials as follows:

  • Schlage Control™ - retrofit kit includes exterior escutcheon with PC board and new connection cable
  • Schlage NDE - retrofit kit includes interior escutcheon with PC board, new Interior Push Button, and new Door Position Switch
  • Schlage LE - retrofit kit includes interior escutcheon with PC board

Schlage MT multi-technology readers are not eligible to be upgraded. A new Schlage MTB mobile enabled multi-technology reader will need to be installed to be compatible with Schlage Mobile Access Credentials.

Complete your mobile upgrade with ENGAGE™

Once you have installed your new Schlage Mobile Retrofit Kit, you will need to commission the lock and select settings using the ENGAGE™ mobile app.
