Conventional Cylinders

Schlage Conventional cylinders are designed to be modular by sharing a small number of screws, cams and plug extensions that can be universally applied. Fewer parts means convenience and flexibility on the job.

Interchangeable Core Cylinders

Both versions of Schlage large format IC cylinders are designed to be replaced without disassembling the lock making them ideal for larger campuses. Small format IC cylinders are based on industry standard for use in any brand SFIC cored lockset.

Everest 29™ SL Cylinder

Patented Everest 29 SL eliminates the barrier to creating a single key system on campuses where multiple brands and/or cylinder types are present. With SL, one Everest 29 R key system can span three unique cylinder formats: Conventional, FSIC, and SFIC.

  • Saves cost of replacing hardware in order to standardize
  • Compatible with Primus XP security upgrades including UL 437 listed conventional cylinders
  • Accepts the 7-pin length common to SFIC cylinders

Everest 29™ Keyways

Everest 29 keyways are patent protected to 2029. The unique undercut key design utilizes a check pin to create a secondary level of physical security in the cylinder. Everest 29 S is a convenient option as an open keyway with few duplication restrictions. Everest 29 R and T keyways are restricted with both keyed cylinders and key blanks tightly controlled for an enhanced level of administrative security.

  • Everest 29 S123 keyway comes standard on Schlage locksets

Classic Obverse Keyways

Classic keyways, also known as open keyways, have no duplication restrictions. They are most commonly used in residential applications.

  • For light-duty applications as an open keyway
  • Available in Conventional and Full Size Interchangeable Core (FSIC) formats
  • Master keying and Primus RP security upgrades, including UL 437 listed conventional cylinders available

Primus® Security Upgrade

The Primus cylinder mechanism adds a second set of pins and multiple levels of geographic exclusivity to deliver upgraded physical and administrative security. The high-security UL 437 listed cylinder options are tested under UL's strict standards to withstand extreme physical attack.

  • Compatible with Schlage Conventional, FSIC, and Everest 29 SL cylinders
